Look up and route directly to specific addresses or points of interest — such as restaurants, hotels, gas stations, retail shops or ATMs — while viewing your exact location on detailed street maps. It even announces the name of exits and streets through your car's speakers so you never have to take your eyes off the road. Map graphics are shown on your system's integrated video display. Car GPS navigation Garmin GVN 53 comes preloaded with detailed City Navigator® NT map data, and its card slot makes it easy to plug in additional map detail from optional MapSource® mapping products.
With an optional XM antenna and a subscription to XM services, you can check the weather, move ahead of traffic and listen to XM radio when you travel with Car GPS navigation Garmin GVN 53. As an alternative, Car GPS navigation Garmin GVN 53 can receive optional TMC traffic alerts (in select cities) when used with a compatible traffic receiver.
Car GPS navigation Garmin GVN 53 installs out-of-sight and is easy to use. Hide the Car GPS navigation Garmin GVN 53 under a car seat using the included mounting hardware, and operate it easily with the included wireless remote control. Use the remote to navigate the menu on your video display and make selections to find it and go.
